FOR 11-18 YEAR OLDS
In City Youth, we want to see our young people growing and maturing in their relationship with Jesus, and discovering their own, unique roles within the church community.
SUNDAYS
On Sunday mornings, for those in school years 7-11, we spend time having loads of fun and being inspired to grow in relationship with Jesus. We explore the Bible together and take time to receive prayer and pray for others.
SMALL GROUPS
Games, a lot of laughter, snacks, worship and Bible study - what more could you want? In Small Group, we aim to deepen relationships with one another whilst spending time in God’s presence.
SOCIALS
We love to spend time getting to know each other better. Throughout the year we do things like film nights, bowling, beach trips...whatever we choose to do, we always have fun and it’s a great opportunity to invite friends along.
DISCIPLESHIP
Discipleship gives every young person the opportunity to meet with someone more mature in age and faith, for encouragement, guidance and challenge. This may mean a coffee and a chat, or doing a Bible/book study, depending on the need of each young person.
WEEKEND AWAY
The Weekend Away is a fantastic opportunity to not only have loads of fun but also delve a little deeper into our faith. We also enjoy a variety of activities, such as high ropes, films and of course, food!
NEWDAY
Newday is an event everyone thoroughly looks forward to every year! It is one of the largest Christian events for young people that takes place in the UK. We camp out together, soak in the summer festival feeling and learn more about Jesus.
CITY YOUTH BLOG
We want to use the City Youth Blog to tell you about who we are. We want to share stories from our Youth about why they follow Jesus and what it is like to follow Christ as a young person. There will also be reviews from our events to share what has happened and what God has done amongst us alongside reflections from our leaders and youth to encourage and inspire.
We’ll add in book, music and resource reviews and previews of upcoming events. This, hopefully, will give you an insight into the community of young people that is City Youth.
