WORSHIP MUSIC

As a church we love singing songs to Jesus when we gather together and in the book of Psalms it encourages believers to sing a new song to the Lord.

One expression of this is to teach new songs to the church that will aid our corporate worship. We are blessed to have many songwriters in our church and on a Sunday morning we sing some of these home-grown songs in our times of worship.

RISEN KING

Jesus was raised from death to life and if we believe in Him the same happens to us and our future is secure in Him! This means that the Church should have the best party and celebration! That's why this song was written- to encourage the Church to take joy in Jesus' resurrection.

BECAUSE OF THE CROSS

COME LET US SING

This song was written out of a desire to capture and encourage a rightful sense of anticipation when we gather to worship God. God is always worthy of our honour, no matter how we're feeling, and so this song is an exhortation to ourselves and one another to 'praise the Lord.'

HOLY IS THE NAME

This song is inspired by the  themes of the throne room and Jesus’ holiness in Revelation 4 and 5. Olly sung the chorus spontaneously at a Worship Leader gathering in Brighton then put together the verses with help from Pete Szczerbicki.

JESUS IS THE LORD OF ALL

This song was written as a response to a changing political world where the future of nations and unions is uncertain. In the book of Colossians it talks about everything being made for Jesus and through Jesus. He is the Lord of all.

LORD, YOU ARE THE LIGHT

Pete wrote this song to express the desire that Jesus is all we need to be satisfied in life. Imagery and fresh ways of saying things are used in the verse to describe our need of Jesus.

STRENGTH OF MY HEART

Andi sung the chorus of this song spontaneously one Sunday morning and then she and Olly developed the song using Psalm 73 as a basis.
