The Bereavement Journey

The Bereavement Journey is for anyone who has been bereaved at any time and in any way.

The Bereavement Journey® is for anyone 18+ who has been bereaved at any time in any way. It provides a place to talk, offering 15 films and discussion over 7 weekly sessions. Volunteers guide participants in exploring their loss, aided by a Guest Manual.

Usually run by churches, the course uniquely offers a final (7th) session on faith questions in bereavement, provided from a Christian perspective. This follows the main sessions and is optional, making The Bereavement Journey suitable for people of any faith or none.

Topics include:

  • Attachment, separation and loss

  • The pain and responses of grief

  • Anger and guilt

  • Coping with others’ reactions

  • Delayed and suppressed grief

  • Adjusting to change

  • Moving forward healthily
