City Students is the student community of The City Church. We love students and want any student to feel at home with us – whether you are moving to Canterbury for the first time to study, or if Canterbury is already home, we want to help you on your journey of following Jesus.

Pursuit is City Student’s regular evening gathering during term time where we pursue the presence of God. We enjoy fun praise and worship as well as hearing from God’s word, and there is plenty of time to respond to God through discussion and prayer. Pursuit is a friendly, relaxed environment to get to know other students and young adults from across The City Church. They are always exciting evenings!

Small Groups are how we ‘do life together’ at The City Church, and our weekly Student Small Groups are there to make it as easy as possible to deepen relationships with one another and with Jesus.

Each month during term time we meet at 8am in a cafe at both Kent and Christchurch universities to pray for God to breakthrough and impact our campuses. Keep an eye on our Facebook page for termly dates and start a day together in prayer!

We want to use the new City Students Blog to tell you stories. Stories from students about why they follow Christ. Stories from our events to share what happened and what God did amongst us. Stories from our leaders to encourage and inspire.

Add to this book reviews and articles from guest writers and previews of upcoming events - and it feels like we have a way of bringing you into the life and heart of the community of City Students.
