Mourning takes on many different forms e.g. anger, appropriate frustration, heart ache, passion. Looking at the second Beatitude, “blessed are those who mourn….â€ we can see that it is a blessing to mourn because it both indicates relationship (God’s heart has become our heart) but also because mourning is essential if we are to have a life of action in things God wants e.g. prayer, mission, giving etc…..
