Description

The point was made that the World in the large part rejects mercy; from silly examples in how we drive, to more serious examples in the media and politics. Generally there is an appetite for revenge rather than mercy. And yet, it was argued, the World tears itself apart as a result. It desperately needs to be healed from the "illness" of hardheartedness. The Church, should be the dispenser of that medicine but historically has not always done so. But God's Plan for displaying mercy has and is the local Church. He wants us to represent Him, as "rich in mercy". The question of how then we can grow in mercy is looked at and the point made, that only when all previous 4 Beatitudes are present in our life are we able to be merciful.
