The City Church Canterbury serves a city that has several universities and colleges. God has blessed us with many students who become valued members of our church family during the time they are away from home. After graduation many of these students stay on and find work in the area so that they can continue to be part of our church. Many students become Christians whilst at university, and we are committed to discipling and training them so that they become mature men and women of God.

About 140 students are committed members of the church, serving us in a wide range of activities. Without them our church would be a very different church community! Therefore, we are also committed to serving them while they are with us.

To achieve this goal we provide the following support:

Student Workers

Every year we have volunteers working for the church, with the specific task of providing pastoral care for all our student members. They are committed to helping our student population mature in their faith and become fully integrated into the life of the church. Unfortunately, however, their pictures are not for the faint hearted, so are kept hidden here. Proceed with caution!

In.Vision

In.Vision is our Sunday evening meeting where people have the opportunity to worship God, hear challenging Biblical teaching relevant to their personal lives, and pray for a variety of key issues. For information on what's going on click click click!

Cell Groups

Mid-week small groups, both those especially for students who want to belong to a small community of students of similar ages and 'all-age family cells' for those who prefer to be with people across the age range in the church. New for this year...FRESHER CELLS (for freshers, of course!)

Student Alpha

Regular mid-week courses where students can bring their unchurched friends to explore the claims and beliefs of Christianity.

Minibus

We have a minibus service that runs from 10am at Keynes college bus stop at the University of Kent and from 10am at Lady Wootton's Green near Canterbury Christ Church University every Sunday.

EMP (Early Morning Praise)

Mid-week gathering to worship God together first thing in the morning. The women meet on Thursdays and the men on Wednesdays, both at 7am on Kent and Christ Church Campuses.
