The book of Acts paints a picture of New Testament Christianity which we at The City Church Canterbury believe still stands today:
"And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. And all who believed were together and had all things in common." - Acts 2:42-44
Our typical Sunday meeting starts at 10.10am with newspapers and pastries and a time to catch up with one another over a hot drink.
At 10.30am our service begins with a time of musical worship which is lively and contemporary in nature.
Biblical preaching is the centre piece of our service and we place a strong emphasis on applying God's word to our everyday lives. The service usually finishes with an opportunity to respond to the preach and for prayer.
During the morning service we offer a full programme for >children aged 0-18 years.
