Love Whitstable

What's on

In the July 2012 half-term we were not only celebrating the Queen’s Jubilee but also our love of all things Whitstable! You may have seen members of The City Church out and about all over Whitstable during the week.

Lighting of the beacon

We celebrated the Diamond Jubilee on Tankerton Slopes with stalls, family entertainment, food, and music. The was a static owl display by Many Hoots Owl Rescue Centre and a flag lowering ceremony at sunsetby Whitstable Sea Cadets. The festivities finished with the spectacular lighting of the beacon. The City Church was there to help out with with stewarding, setup and packdown.

Kids Activity Club

The City Church ran an exciting and fun Activity Club running during half-term for kids aged 5-11. With sports, crafts and lots of games it was a great time together.

The Big Clean

You might have met our church members out and about in Whistable this week cleaning up the town, the beach and handing out water.

Baptisms and Picnic

We finished Love Whistable together on Tankerton slopes for baptisms in the sea and a fabulous picnic time! It was a slice of the great outdoors and an opportunity to hear the stories of people getting baptised.
