What is the ministry?

The Great Rotation (Our version of Sunday School)

What is the Vision of the Ministry?

The Great Rotation exists to equip children, ages 3-11, for a daily relationship with Jesus.

What does it look like on a week to week basis?

Every Sunday we gather all the children together 15 minutes into the main service.  We have a short time together to look at the morning’s theme/verse/topic with some songs and puppets.  The children then split up into three  age groups and then rotate around the Teaching, Worship and Creative Prayer Zones.

What would be involved in serving in this area?

There are two different types of leaders at TGR: Zone Leaders and Rotators.  Everybody starts as a Rotator, whose job it is to befriend and support the children in one age group through the morning.  The Zone Leaders lead the three zones (funnily enough) and they come prepared for their Zone each Sunday.

What sort of person are you looking for?

I would love to have a team made up of enthusiastic and creative people who are willing to get to church a little early, having had a large breakfast for all the energy they’ll need.

What is the process if they want to get involved?

Become a church member!  Due to our Child Protection Policy it is essential that all those who serve on TGR are members of the church.  If you are one, then the first thing to do is to register your interest  and we will arrange a Sunday for you to visit.  This will be a chance for you to sit at the back and take in all the glorious sights of TGR.  Then and only then will you be ready to say if you are willing to get involved
